Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at UrbanPromise Charlotte is an excellent opportunity to learn more about our programs, meet and form relationships with our youth, and help us reduce our budget by providing assistance where we need it most. Individual volunteer opportunities are available throughout the week—during the day and evening—and include tutoring, assisting in a classroom, one-time event help, fundraising and more.

UrbanPromise’s internship program provides college-aged adults with summertime training in urban youth development and ministry. Interns are assigned to one of our three Summer Camps located off of South Boulevard, Freedom Drive, and Idlewild Road. Their role at UrbanPromise is essential to our organization’s operational and programmatic success as they work on a volunteer basis and act as positive role models to the children and teens in their camps.
