Originally from Wisconsin, Karley attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her BA in Religious Studies and Education and Educational Studies. Following her undergraduate degree, Karley attended Denver Seminary in Littleton, CO to earn her Master of Divinity degree with concentrations in Leadership and Mental Health Counseling. She is passionate about the intersection of mental health and faith, Christ-centered justice, and comprehensive love and care for people.

Karley has a diverse career background, including 4 years working full-time in student ministry. She made the transition to the nonprofit sector in 2021 when she joined the team as a Program Manager at a faith-based, trauma-informed women’s educational center in her neighborhood in the heart of Phoenix, AZ. During this time, Karley’s desire for the holistic care of individuals grew. One thing that has been consistent through her career is her love for people and her yearning to see God’s kingdom reflected in the here-and-now through relationship building and faith-fueled action.

After calling Arizona home for 5 years, Karley and her husband, Kevin, moved to Charlotte in June 2023. She is so excited to join the UrbanPromise Charlotte team as a member of the Development Team. Karley believes deeply in the mission and vision of UrbanPromise Charlotte and is eager to see this great work continue!
