O’Tisha Hinton: north streetleader director

O'Tisha Hinton is a born and raised "Charlottean" who has created a passionate career catering to the betterment of students. She graduated from Elizabeth City State University (2012) with a Bachelor's Degree in English. She later continued her education at Grand Canyon University (2020) receiving her Master's Degree in Secondary Education.

Before joining UrbanPromise, O'Tisha worked within Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as a middle school English and Language Arts (ELA) teacher.

For the past five years, she has dedicated her time to inspiring the future generation of tomorrow in the classroom, while creating meaningful relationships with her scholars. She has received the "Teacher of Excellence" award for exceeding growth within the 7th grade ELA department throughout her teaching career.

Although she has left the classroom, she joined UrbanPromise to continue her heart's desire of influencing and inspiring the youth. She strives to embody the UrbanPromise vision to reach a child, raise a leader, and restore a community and believes that Christ and Education is the best combination.
