Brittany is a thoughtful fundraiser who cares deeply about educational equity. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, she is a graduate of both UNC Chapel Hill (BA in History) and Indiana University (MA in Philanthropic Studies, Master of Public Affairs). Before joining UrbanPromise Charlotte, she helped lead fundraising efforts at Charlotte Rescue Mission and the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.  Brittany has deep experience in grant funding, donor partnerships, capital campaign management and more. 

As the Development Director for UrbanPromise Charlotte, Brittany works to foster relationships with donors and partners who want to invest in Charlotte’s future leaders. She is passionate about the intersection of faith and justice and believes that it takes everyone to create a safe place where students can thrive.  

Outside of work, she loves exploring new restaurants with her husband, Donnie, or catching up with friends at a local happy hour. She’s an avid reader who believes the best winter days involve a thick book and a quiet corner.
