DAISY TRINIDAD: EAST MIDDLE SCHOOL COORDINATOR
daisy@urbanpromisecharlotte.org
Straightforward. Stylish. Enthusiastic.
Daisy is a first-generation Mexican-American, avid reader, and community advocate who serves as Middle School Coordinator at the East Site. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from NC State University, where she also served as president of a Latino social, political, and cultural organization.
Her path to UrbanPromise wound through healthcare — four years in a field where she excelled academically but found herself increasingly drawn to the people behind the paperwork, particularly Spanish-speaking families navigating systems without a voice. When a friend reposted a job opening on LinkedIn, Daisy applied without expecting a callback. UrbanPromise didn't just call — they had faith in her. She hasn't looked back since.
Born in Phoenix and raised in Charlotte her entire life, Daisy brings bilingual advocacy and a deep love of literature to her work with middle schoolers every day. Outside of UrbanPromise, she is a devoted reader — logging around 80 books last year — and an avid traveler with Chicago and Madrid among her favorites and Ireland on her bucket list. She shares her home with her cat, Mescal.
