Calm Presence. Steady Leader.
Darius is a youth development professional and faith-driven leader who serves as Elementary School Coordinator at the West Site. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Francis Marion University and brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience in youth programming — having worked his way from Youth Development Professional to Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand, and most recently as an Ambassador Leadership Coach with the Young Black Leadership Alliance in Charlotte. He came to Christ in 2016, and faith has shaped everything about how he leads since. At UrbanPromise, he values the freedom to pour into both campers and StreetLeaders openly — meeting young people at different stages of their journey with wisdom, consistency, and care.
Originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Darius was raised by a single mother and a close extended family, and credits his community for helping shape who he is. He and his wife relocated to Charlotte in 2024. Outside of UrbanPromise, he spends his time traveling and in fellowship with God.
