LAQUETIA hollis: west Streetleader director

laqueita@urbanpromisecharlotte.org

Student Advocate. Community Champion.

LaQuetia is a first-generation college graduate and seasoned educator who serves as StreetLeader Director at Camp Freedom. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Social Science from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University and brings a depth of experience in postsecondary access — having worked as an admissions counselor, Federal TRIO program coordinator, and Student Placement Specialist within Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She is a firm believer in relational equity: that meaningful connections open real doors. At UrbanPromise, she channels that conviction into walking alongside StreetLeaders and equipping them with the confidence and connections to reach goals they once thought were out of reach.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, LaQuetia is active in her church's Marriage Enrichment Group and serves in the community through her sorority. When she's not pouring into others, you'll find her traveling, spending time near the water, or making memories with family and friends.
