Lauren ducoste: north streetleader director

lauren@urbanpromisecharlotte.org

Resilient Leader. Wise Counsel. Adaptable Supporter.

Lauren is a youth development leader and lifelong mentor who serves as StreetLeader Director at the Camp Love. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Education in Urban Education, and a Master's Certificate in Anti-Racism — all from UNC Charlotte.

Her commitment to young people predates her professional career: from camp counseling in high school to kids ministry at church to chartering a youth mentoring organization chapter on her college campus, Lauren has spent her life creating safe, enriching spaces for young people to grow. Before joining UrbanPromise, she supported college student leaders in a youth mentoring organization, providing leadership development, coaching, and guidance. She came to UrbanPromise through social media, drawn immediately by the organization's investment in the whole child — socially, academically, and spiritually.

A Raleigh native now rooted in Charlotte, Lauren is a member of Nikao Church where she serves in kids ministry. When she isn't pouring into StreetLeaders, you'll find her training for the Charlotte marathon, perfecting her sourdough chocolate chip cookies, or on the hunt for the best iced vanilla latte in the city.
