lilliana sandoval: north elementary coordinator

Kid at Heart. Village Builder.

Lilliana is an environmental educator and community connector who serves as Elementary School Coordinator at the North Site. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and brings a background in environmental outreach and education — leading programs that engaged communities, equipped Spanish speakers as a bilingual resource, and brought her into classrooms alongside kids. Outside of her professional work, she has long volunteered in children's nursery settings, a throughline that makes her current role feel like a natural home. Lilliana came to UrbanPromise through fellow staff members who introduced her to the Promise Coach program, and she spent two years mentoring a StreetLeader at the South Site before joining the team full time.

Originally from Antioch, California, Lilliana is happiest when she's outside. You'll find her hiking with her dog Santi, discovering new trails, or settling into an arts and crafts project — anything from coloring to mixed media.

"I found I enjoyed engaging with people at outreach events, working with kids in the classroom and serving as a resource for Spanish speakers. Whenever an outreach event or opportunity came that included all 3 of these I felt fulfilled in my work.”
