Steady. Compassionate. | Enneagram 9
Whitney is a committed educator and the StreetLeader Director at Camp Hope. Originally an accounting and finance major at Syracuse University, she began her career in education with Teach For America, where she spent three years teaching middle school math in Charlotte. Now pursuing an MA in Mental Health Counseling at UNC Charlotte, Whitney brings a holistic, trauma-informed lens to her dual roles at the East site. She appreciates the UrbanPromise commitment to reaching the whole student, focusing as much on personal wellness and mental health as she does on academic growth.
Whitney is passionate about personal wellness and offers a steady, compassionate presence for the StreetLeaders she coaches. She loves a nature walk or a good yoga session. When she isn’t working, you’ll find her hunting for a great live music spot, or checking out her favorite bookstores and coffee shops.

“I personally loved being at school and used it as a refuge, and I want to create similar spaces for others. I love working with our high school students because they bring me joy, keep me young, and I get to watch them grow over several years.”
